Citi Forward Card Balance

Below is the latest balance for our Citi Forward credit card. This is our last credit card debt to pay off but this is also the card that gets the most abuse each day. I think I charge everything to Citi and pay it off as I go. The bad thing about this approach is that your average daily balance never goes down:

If you look around that's been the balance for almost a year now. I need to make a huge payment to it so I can get some traction but money will be thight for the next few months. I also need to watch my spending, things like groceries are killing my budget. Here are the last two charges at H.E.B, our local grocery store:

As you can see the groceries are also not lasting, I seem to be going to the store every week. I don't know what to do or cut. I swear I don't buy anything fancy. The other issue is I'm doing all the grocery shopping alone since the wife has to stay home.

This is our last and final credit card debt. I will like to be credit card debt free again sometime soon. I did it in the past, as you can see on this post so I know I can do it again! I also had 9k in the bank? Wow times have changed...

Have a good weekend!

  1. Terrific!! Last one! Can you believe it?!
You'll get rid of this one before you know it. Maybe you could shop at Kroger. They have reduced for quick sale meats and double coupons. Lol ;)

    Very happy for you.

  2. Me shop at kroger's? I'd get lost! Lol

  3. That is great you are down to one credit card. Now you need to create and live by a budget so you no longer need to spend on credit at all. Also create an emergency fund (IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE.)
Congrats on almost being non mortgage debt free.

I am almost there too, with only:
    $200 owe dad
    $127 owe dentist
$155 owe tax fund from last month

  4. Notice that when you have a tale of woe, all the comments stream in, but when you report something good, the comments are few and far between?

The fridge was on a nice no-interest deal, but paying it off means one less thing to worry about. That's an excellent use of credit: Buy it now, pay for it over 2 or 3 months, with no interest.

One way to attack your one remaining credit card is to quarantine it. Don't put any new charges on it. Get another card and use it for your everyday spending and pay it off. Then you can easily see how much progress you are making with the quarantined card.

  5. Dude! Last one??? This is fantastic! Keep it up and you just may get an U-RAH!!!

  6. Hey I have some ideas to help w/ your grocery bills. Email me and I tell you what I do.

  7. Congrats on the great progress.. I've been a lurker but finally am de-lurking to comment. :)

  8. Well Heeled Blog welcome and thank you!
