Wait, We’re Having a Baby?

Wait, We’re Having a Baby? I swear that's how the wife and I feel lately. At our last baby shower, our friends wanted us to hold their one month old baby boy and we both refused. Part of us wants nothing to do with babies, buy why? did we make a mistake?! I notice the wife and I barely talk baby stuff, like this is all a dream... I don't know, hard to explain. I guess this post is more to remind me, YES a baby is on the way!

I need to get in to baby mode! Need to read more about babies. Need to add more blogs about babies. Need to join a baby forum. I need to be more like my blogger friend J.O.S.E.Y who I admire dearly, I want my baby experience to be just like hers (and hoping baby is just as cute).

But right now, it all feels surreal... I'm hoping this all changes soon after the baby shower and the more frequent doctor appointments.

It'll feel real when the baby gets here! That's for sure. I was the same way. Even afraid to hold my own at first. But it comes natural.

Congratulations to both of you. This is going to be such a happy time in your lives. :)

Congratulations! Our babies are all grown up and both are in college now (yes, *two* in college at once, but they have scholarships and are working their way through).

The day we brought our first son home from the hospital I got home, burst into tears and said "What do I do with it?????"

My husband sort of carried him around like a football at first, lol!

Bwahahahaha!

Okay - YES, I had a birth experience that was awesome, but I also had a pregnancy experience that...well, I didn't love being pregnant, but that was just me. Don't get me wrong, there were moments that were amazing and wonderful and precious, but for the most part, I was just so excited to MEET this baby (my lovely Stella) that I was ready to be to the next stage.

That being said, I research a LOT about being pregnant and about L&D options (which I am 100% SOOOOO so happy I did)....but not much about the actual baby raising part. I'm going to work on a post about that soon with my recommendations of stuff I should have read pre-baby arrival...but yeah, you'll make it work. :)

Just don't buy too much STUFF - you'll regret it - and follow your instincts!

I wouldnt know bc I dont have babies but from what I understand the 1st one doesnt usually click w/ men, until they hold her/him the 1st time, then its like whoa!!

Thats what I hear at least. I'm sure you'll be fine.
