Thanksgiving Miracle

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! This coming Wednesday we will be going out of town to celebrate the holidays with family and friends. This means no going out or spending money. Just turkey, drinks and time to reflect on this past year.

2011 has been a great year so far. Every day I wake up I'm thankful for our health, our family and our jobs.  But this year is more special for us. This year I'm thankful for our miracle. As most of you know we went through IVF and fertility treatments and today I can finally say it was a success. My wife and I are expecting our first child to be born next April 2012.

Words cannot describe the feeling but I'm also freaking out a bit. I cannot believe we are here. At the same time I have a feeling that everything will be alright. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us.

All babies are blessings, regardless of how they are conceived. I know some people feel that unless you can have them "the old fashion way" you shouldn't have them. Sort of a "if you were meant to ...then you wouldn't have problems."

I feel grateful that the technology exists that allows those of us who have struggled to still conceive. And I am grateful that families come in all shapes and sizes.

Wishing Baby HS a productive gestation, and Mrs. HS a happy and healthy pregnancy. Don't forget to take pictures...you always think you can do it later, but you can't go back.

Congrats to all!

Oh, that is so very awesome. April will come by before you know it. Many congrats to you all! (Actually, end of April is only 156 days away. Not that I am counting for an especial event that happens on or around that date, anyway)

I am so thrilled for you both! I pray it is the most calm and stress-free pregnancy.

One hint - when she says she is hungry - get her food right then! The hunger is extreme!
