Back On Body For Life

Today I'm going back on Body for Life. The 12 week Body-for-LIFE program consists of exercise and dieting 6 days a week and a free day with no exercise or eating restrictions. I think I struggle a lot with my weight. I see myself as 'overweight' but most people say I look great. I don't think I eat bad I just can't control how much I eat. I also have to constantly exercise so I don't put on a lot of weight. My weight today is 185 pounds. I'm hoping to drop 10 pounds in 12 weeks with target goal around 170.

This post is more to keep me motivated and to remind me of this challenge. Picture below of people that completed the 12 week challenge, check out the transformations:

Below is the list of foods I CANNOT have:

Proteins
Pork bacon
Deep-fried meat such as fried chicken, chicken fingers, fish sticks, Buffalo wings, etc.
Hamburgers and fatty cuts of beef
Hot dogs

Simple Carbs
Cookies
Cake
White rice
White bread
Crackers
Candy
French Fries
Chips
Doughnuts
Soda

Unhealthy Fats

How do you manage weight? Do you exercise? Do you believe in diets?

Good luck. You can do this. I've been working on weight loss myself but now I am trying to work some fitness into that as well.

I am pathetically out of shape. I don't even want to admit to where I am starting or what my baselines currently are.

Good to hear that Kevin! I think the key is sticking to the program, I think most people start and then a week later they fall back in to the same old habits.

Best of luck to you! I bike to/from work each day (22 miles total), and I also run quite a bit, so my fitness has become a great routine. It also saves me tons of $$ b/c I don't have to pay for gas very often (I just put $25 last week and that was the first time I had paid for gas since July!) and I also am healthier so there are less co-pays. My advice would be to fit it into a natural part of your life (ie commuting or a wake-up/go to bed routine).
