The only issue is I don't have anything that will cost $2,000 in the next couple of months. I could always pay all my bills with it and put all our grocery shopping and gas purchases on it but I don't think I can be trusted with a brand new credit card.
There's also a $125 dollar annual fee which I don't think is waived for the first 12 months. I didn't see it in the terms and conditions. There's also a $50 annual charge for each additional user on the account.
I'm NOT going to get this credit card since I just destroyed a Citi Thank You card below. But if anyone out there wants to make a quick $500 this offer may come in handy. Open account, charge $2,000, take the rewards and close the account.

STAY AWAY ;)
Why would you get a card that cost you $125 a year with an additional $50 on top of that? What would the interest be too, by the way. If you get that card with a 14% interest rate go out and rack up $2000 to get a $500 reward (which is actually only a $325 reward since you're paying a fee for the card) and you don't pay that card off right away, wouldn't you be paying almost $200 in interest too? I'm terrible at math but this card sounds like a terrible idea to me. This country is never going to straighten up if people keep buying in to the schemes of the credit card companies. We have got to stop being stupid with our money and start getting real about it and sopt owing everyone else for things we can't live without! UUGGGHHH. Frustrating. You shouldn't even be looking at credit card offers while you're paying off debt!
E, I agree with you, reason why I'm not getting it. I saw it while I was checking my balance on citicards.com...
Don't worry I'm not opening any credit cards anymore.

Glad to hear you will not be tempted any more by those slick credit card companies.
Have you checked the terms and conditions of some of these companies? There are some that state if you miss any payment to any credit card you own your interest will go up on theirs too. Makes me wonder how that can be legal...
