Citi Thank You Card Paid Off

It was really hard staying home and playing the frugal game the last 3 weekends but it finally paid off. I was able to send in the final payment to our Citi Thank You card for $1,500:

This is the card I was worried about back in May when the balance was over $2,000:

The balance actually went down to $1,500 around July 8th:

I added another $500 to it last week for IVF egg retrievals but I finally said enough and decided to pay it off. The bad part is that leaves us with $250 dollars until next payday which will be next Friday. Things like gas and groceries will come up and I have a birthday coming up which will probably mean more spending in August.

I should be under $10,000 in credit card debt by the end of August. That leaves Discover and Citi Forward. Not sure which card to tackle next but I may have to slow down a bit. I have more birthdays coming up and will probably need to spend $500 on gifts, food, wine etc. Better to spend cash than to charge it on the cards.

Great job on the payoff!!!

As for upcoming gifts...remember, you don't have to spend alot of money to show you care. Consider starting a gift fund....so you pre-save for these events.

Thanks Mysti, Yes I'm saving but my mom is always good about giving me guilt trips about gifts lol but I still love her very much...

Good job!! Ah yes... the parent guilt trip! Well, I think your mother would understand that you are trying to give her the perfect gift.. a grandchild! She should be understanding of your situation.

NOPE, She has no clue... I'm way too secretive about my life but it would be a nice gift to announce lol
