I'm not sure what to do with this money. I don't really blog for the money. I don't care too much about rankings or PR etc but when someone emails me that they want to place a link for $200 it's hard to say no BUT I will not allow any guests or paid posts. I feel kinda guilty applying this money to debt so I think I will just leave it in there for now. Maybe I can use it as a minor emergency fund but I always end up using credit cards as my emergency fund so who knows.
Do you make money from your blog? Do you feel guilty about spending it?

Do you have a wordpress website? I tried to put ads on my website but wordpress wont let me do it.?
No this is Blogger but I hear Wordpress is much better?
Im an idiot. I knew your site was blogger, I just dont think it registered. I actually love wordpress. I think it has a lot of extra addons that are really great. I would love to put a banner on it to my swagbucks account but im having issues with it :0(
No worries, yeah Wordpress has better template, I might switch over one day...

Why on earth would you feel guilty putting revenue earned from your debt blog towards debt? That seems to me the most obvious answer.
Re: Wordpress. You can have ads only on a self-hosted wordpress.org site. If wordpress.com hosts you, you're out of luck
Well the blog was never intented to pay my debts...
Thanks for the heads up about wordpress, so you have to pay to host it right? I don't mind paying a bit.. I could use this money lol

I would use it as a mini-emergency fund. Or, if it would wipe out some debt....go for it.
Hope Mrs. HS is hanging in there....no pee sticks!!
I would TOTALLY put any blog revenue towards debt! I wouldn't feel at all guilty about it either!
I don't think you should feel bad about paying debt with it...it's a DEBT blog. And I'm jealous you've made so much on your blog! But, if you don't have an E-fund, this would be a great start!
Yea it would be way more with guest posts but then the site becomes a content farm, the efund is funded at 1000.. I've had it funded for years but I never touch it, strange that I put emergencies on credit cards..
Wow! Great job. I just started blogging. Please take a looksy. :)
I'm hoping to make some extra cash from blogging. I know I won't bring in a ton, but anything is nice. I love blogging and reading other blogs, so I feel like this is great freelance work.
I have never made any money off my blog, but I wouldn't feel bad using it if I did. Transfer that paypal balance to a credit card or emrgency fund asap!!!
I was on the fence about adding ads to my blog, but that is serious money. Um, I'm going to consider changing my mind....
I don't think it's a bad idea at all to use the money you make from your blog to pay down debt. Generating alternate income is a great way to pay off debt and getting financial freedom.
This is the first time I've seen your blog - congratulations on your progress so far with the debt payoff!
I dont have any ads on my blogs basically because I look at it as my journal.
My only question is do you support the ads you have, Im not trying to stir the pot. But I see one for payday advances and I will be truthfull in saying that I have never heard anything good about them. I am not attacking you...I am just wondering?
Judy
About the ads, that's the reason for my guilt, no I don't support them or pay day advances, I'm glad you caught that, no one else did, I got greedy... like I said, they paid a lot of money and I took it..
HS
Like I said I was not trying to stir the pot I was just wondering. Lots of poeple have ads and I figure as adults its up to us weither we look at them or not.
It wont stop me from reading your blog I just wont click on it. But we all do what we have to do to get ahead.
Like I said I live in a glass house so I dont throw stones
