I Hate Bank of America

I Hate Bank of America, well not so much the bank itself but more the overdraft fees. Yesterday my account had $20 in there, this morning I wake up and I find I'm negative $-92! Somehow 1 charge let to 4 overdrafts. I had money in there but when things cleared they decided to take $35 for each overdraft leaving me in the red.

Luckily I keep $1000 handy at all times on my other BoA account so I was able to transfer money right away. That means now I need to rebuild the emergency fund. Lately I feel broke... hopefully I get a decent raise in September.

I thought overdraft fees were a thing of the past but no, we have to wait until July or August to be able to opt out. From what I've heard, customers will have 2 choices: They can permit the bank to overdraw their account, which can cost up to $35; or they can have their card declined when money runs out. You have to call and let them know you want to opt out.

I hate overdraft fees!!!

iPhone 4

The new iPhone is out and I want one! That's correct, I don't need one I just want one! This is the best iPhone yet, it's faster, better looking and the battery lasts longer. The voice and data plans have come down a bit so I might have to jump ship from my current carrier T-mobile and go to AT&T.

Don't worry, I won't be adding any debt to get this new phone, I will pay cash and only get the $199 version. I'm probably also going to sell my current Iphone 3G S on Ebay or Craigslist. I know I can at least get $225.

Vacation

Hope everyone is doing OK! I'm heading out for vacation this week to the Mexican Riviera to celebrate my birthday and to get some R&R! I haven't taken any vacation and I currently have over 7 weeks saved up, I need to use up some hours or I will lose the time and not get paid!

I will update everyone on the debt when I get back!

Citi Stock

Citigroup (NYSE: C) is currently trading at 3.89 as of 3:25 PM. Everyone keeps talking about what a great investment this is since Citi is currently one of the best capitalized banks out there:



I think this stock will hit a high of $5 around July or August. I plan to purchase around 500 shares and see how it does over the next 2 months. I will probably sell after they post quarterly earnings. If everything goes as planned I should make around $500. The money will come in handy, just in time to buy Apple's new iPhone when they come out next week.

Another reason to invest in Citi is that they are my primary creditor, we still owe them around $3500 or so... why not invest in companies we use?
