Citi Balance January 2010

The balance on our Citi professional card is over $5000! I'm hoping our tax return can reduce this balance by $2000. There's really no big purchases on the card, most of the recent charges are for food and gas but as you can see, the small stuff really adds up:

At least this is our only credit card debt. If we can pay this down, we can be credit card debt free again. Part of me also feels like if I don't charge stuff and add debt I won't have anything to blog about, maybe I need to start a new blog about making money instead of adding to the debt every month.

Have a good weekend!

yikes. Maybe you are overpaying taxes each month. If you adjust your with holding you can have more cash in pocket and not need to charge so much?

I have spent some good time this evening from start to finish. First let me say that I understand the addiction to charging as I have been there myself (and currently cant really say that I have stopped as I only have one month down). There were times I was soooo angry and you for still charging. The vacations get me. But you have never given up hope and that is good. I look forward to following your journey and hope you'll take a moment to look at mine as well.

It is my humble opinion that Citi is an organization that operates on the envelope of the law. I have an account with Citifinancial Auto and the moment you are one day late, they bombard you with phone calls. Most of the calls consist of hang ups, while the rest are robo-calls telling you to hold for a rep, then it says that all reps are busy and if you could call back later.
