Where is the money coming from? It's actually coming from Apple! I bought some Apple stock back in March so I've made close to $600 dollars, technically this is a free Iphone! courtesy of Apple, Thanks Steve Jobs and Apple!
Don't worry, Discover is on track to be paid off this month and it will be closed in July. I have $27 dollars in cash back to redeem. I will probably just convert $20 in to a $25 dollar gift card and lose $7 dollars.
Don't forget, pick up your Iphone tomorrow!

I'm been spending the better part of this morning reading through all of your posts, from 2008 onward.
You need to stop using your credit cards all together. The fact that you're even considering investing your savings in the stock market is a joke.
The interest rate's on your credit cards are NEGATIVE interest. If you invested in the stock market, the best you could hope for is to break even...

My wife and I have been on this plan for the past 4 months. We've paid off and canceled our credit cards all together ($4,700.00). We currently working to pay off our 2 auto loans. After that, we'll never use ANY type of credit again.
We will save up a 100% down payment for our home, and will not buy one until we can afford to do so.
If you don't use credit, who care's what your credit score is...
Anyways, best of luck with paying off your debts. I think I read somewhere in your posts that you have a 6 figure income... You should have been debt free 1 Year, 8 months ago...
If you can't afford to pay the $10.00 for his book, send me an email at 3lliptus@comcast.net with your mailing address, and I'll send you a copy for free.
Wow Anon, jealous of his new iPhone much?
I loathe zealots who force their ideas down other peoples throats.
Dave Ramsay is one way, but certainly not the only way.
We are working on not using credit cards... I'm hoping to have Discover closed this month. We know Dave Ramsey and I've read the Total Money Makeover, but that plan is just not for us. I like the 1000 emergency savings idea and we do keep that in our savings account.

I don't need to "Keep up with the Jones's", so no, I'm not jealous of his new iPhone.
You're correct, Dave Ramsey is not the only way, but it's one of the better ways to go about it.
You really need to have the will power to stick to his plan, most people can't.
