Murphy Came By

My goal for October was to have Best Buy paid off but Murphy decided to stop by and may be staying for a while. For those of you who don’t know Murphy, it’s a term used in the debt community when you’re trying to get out of debt. The term is related to Murphy’s Law which states “"if anything can go wrong, it will."

The wife called me yesterday and said that the AC was not cooling the house so I called the tech today, and it turns out we need a new compressor. He quoted me $4,000! So I’m going to shop around and see if I can buy one online and hire an independent contractor to install it.

Murphy will probably delay my debt reduction until next year. My only fear right now is something else going wrong such as the car breaking down or the washer, dryer etc. Keep in mind I need to pay my home owner's fees next month, I belive the amount for this year is $900.

Happy Friday and have a good weekend!

Oh no! That sucks. :( Since winter's approaching (or here, for most people -- although it's sweltering in SoCal) could you postpone getting a new compressor until next spring?

Ol' Murhpy is a globel chap (well the Irish have always travelled). But Murhpy's law is also known as 'Sod's Law', what ever can go wrong will go wrong.
