CITI Balance

When I need some motivation to continue our debt journey I tend to look back at old statements from CITI. I am amazed to see how large our balance was and what we used to pay in interest. Below is a statement from Dec 2006. The rate at that time was 14.240% and the balace was close to $15,000! The finance charge for that month was $182.09 all in one card!

Check out the minumum amount due, that's more than my highest electricty bill! There's still $6200 to go, I can’t wait to see this card with a zero balance.

I hope everyone is havinga good weekend.

I was never unfortunate enough to have so high a balance, however, I finally closed my account with Citi a few months ago, and they ended up owing me a little over $20. You'll get it down, eventually!
