May 2008 CITI Balance

The current balance on our CITI Premier Pass Card for May is $7,461.81. We made a lot of progress last month, but not enough. The goal is to reduce this balance down to $6,461.81 before June. On a positive note, the interest rate on this card continues to go down, it is now 10.990%. The finance charge this month was $84.03.

Our plan is to continue to pay off the highest balance and continue making the minimum payment on Best Buy. The CITI professional card should down to $1000 this month, thanks to the government rebates coming sometime in May.

I hate credit card debt…

How come you're using the rebate for the other Citi card and not this one?

Also...is your Best Buy balance on a 0% interest promo, or are you getting killed with the 20% interest? If so, maybe throw money at that one!!! That card is the death of me....the 0% for 90 days was always so tempting!

Hey Girl!

I would like to reduce the balance on the Professional card so I feel like I'm making some progress. That card is currently on 0% until August... so maybe I should pay it off and not worry about it.

Best Buy account is the least of my worries, it has a 0% interest promo until 2/1/2011! I made the stupid mistake of buying an HDTV! back in Jan w. 3 years! 0%.

I wish I had all this money to play with every month... debt sucks!!

I would leave Best Buy on the back burner since you have until 2011. Maybe get rid of that other card so you free up the payment for it to help tackle your larger card faster. I don't think HDTV is a stupid purchase, it's just stupid to increase debt in order to have one. Hopefully you didn't buy the overpriced HDMI cables from there too. I got my HDTV on sale and then bought the cables (2 HDMI and 1 optical) from a website for 21 bucks shipped. You're making great progress on the big Citi card though.
